any advice welcome

Have had a look at each of your submissions, this one is my choice, but just, over red stripe gazania. This is just so simple, you cant help but like it, could possibly be a wee bit sharper but what the heck, nice image. Well done!!

thanks for your comments, i do like my pictures to be simple and natural

i get strange looks from people who see me crawling around in my garden, my

pictures are not always appreciated on photo.net and it looks like ive got to

do nude photo's to get a real good rating, but i like my flowers and wildlife

and will continue regardless of the ratings i get.

Brent I might have something here that will save you a bad back, and could also improve your work. You say "crawling around in my garden" . I did that for probably over a year, and one day it was like god spoke to me, he said pick the flower, which I did and my work started to improve from that moment. There is no rule set in concrete that says you have to do your work with the flower in its natural setting. As soon as you pick it your options are endless. As to the ratings here on p/n. I would not worry about them, some people live and die by them, just about everyone has a opinion one way or another. There are also some really wonderful flower and nature photographers here on p/n. I am going to mark you down as someone interesting as I would like to follow what you do. All the best.........................roger
