Be proud of your heritage

I shot this at the Durham miners Gala in Durham, UK. The gala is a

celebration of the long gone mining industry as well as a celebration

of local community and culture. I think the memories of better times

got the best of this guys heart strings.

I love the tones and the contrast of this picture.

This is one of the best character studies I have seen in a long time.The craggy face and the tiny tear in his eye are absolutely first rate photography...congratulations...Bert
