Great Job. I am partial to these types of shots. This one is very very nice. 7/7 Keep on posting so we can see some more of your wonderful pictures.

What a stunning photograph. The range of greens and yellows on the rocks is brilliant, as it the sharpness from front to back.

Can i ask a really boring question? as someone who is interested in square compositions, what is your personal limit on printing a square crop from a 5D file in terms of size? I ask this because you mentioned you were picking up a print of this very picture.

again fantastic work,

cheers,

I agree that this is an outstanding shot - the detail in the moss and overall composition is excellent. There is something odd going on with perspective though. When I first looked at it it seemed to me that the line through the middle of the frame which is made of the surface of the pool of water at the bottom of the upper falls should have been horizontal. On the other hand, it makes sense that the longer waterfalls are vertical which they are.

I have the same 16-35mm lens this was shot with and find that it distorts a bit more than my very old nikon 15mm used to do but I'm not sure that is it.

Lovely shot either way.

This is perfect. All of the picture composition elements draw the viewer's focus from the top of the falls down through the base. I know some photographers feel that something as common as a waterfall should never deserve a 7/7, but what happens when it does?

I am generally not a fan of water captured via long exposure, but I quite like it in this image. The texture of the growth contrasted with the smoothed out water is very pleasing. I also have a difficult time judging the scale of this image, which makes it more fun to look at.
