christian deichert 1 Posted June 20, 2002 Lovely. The cool mist and trees in the foreground give a great counterpoint to the industrial landscape in the backgroud. Great tones all around. Link to comment
patrick_michel_dagenais 0 Posted June 20, 2002 Totally surreal. I don't know what more I could say exept that it must have been ever better to look at in person. Good thing it's in BW, just adds to the allure. Link to comment

adrien_normand 0 Posted July 2, 2003 I like this picture. The idea of including both smoke and fog is quite nice, because they both shape the landscape, the fog by hidding some feature and revealing some others, and the smoke by helping the chimneys to make the sky interesting. It has a feeling of quietness very evocative of misty mornings, and shows a city landscape differently, in less harsh a way. But, in my opinion, this image is too grainy. I prefer mist with a very fine grain, because it looks really dense this way. With coarse grain you lose this feeling of thickness. Link to comment
quixote0 0 Posted July 3, 2003 This picture reminds me of the song Synchronicity II by the Police. Another industrial ugly morning The factory belches filth into the sky He walks unhindered through the picket lines today, He doesn't think to wonder why The secretaries pout and preen like cheap tarts in a red light street, But all he ever thinks to do is watch, And every single meeting with his so-called superior Is a humiliating kick in the crotch Many miles away something crawls to the surface of a dark Scottish lake thanks for the memories.
