frank kennedy 0 Posted July 17, 2007 I asked a passerby what she thought. She said "the chest is out of focus." I would prefer to see the whole cat in focus. When I take pictures of my own cat, I like the ones where the whole cat is in focus the best. Did you shoot shutter priority in low light? If you intended to have the body out of focus, then that is not to my likeing. The expression was still a good catch. Link to comment
rtwildlife 0 Posted July 17, 2007 Dear mr Kennedy, To answer your question, My goal for this portrait was to get a very sharp focus on the eyes. I always shoot manual, this to challenge myself, and to have complete control. The whole cat in focus is easily achieved, by taking a step back, and add an F-stop to the exposure, but that was not my intention. This would result in a very ordinary photograph of a (nice) cat. For me this portrait was ok, because the picture draws attention to the eyes, and the sun enlightens the earshells, exactly as I hoped it would do. Thanks for commends, Regards, Link to comment
