pnital 36 Posted July 16, 2007 The juxtaposition of title and frame are doing it for me jeff;-)). The touch of humor and observartion of situation.... !my smile of the day.... I like emmanuel punch of the scene. Link to comment
kraubenheimer 0 Posted July 26, 2007 This is so funny, because it is so true! Woman at the back telling the husband 'no' just in case he invites them in and changes his mind!! Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted July 26, 2007 Karlien: Yep. This reminded me of my parents and grandparents when anyone came to our door selling anything: religion, vacuums, and in one case bath sponges. I remember my parents having an argument over the latter. My mom, a chatterbox, would always want to talk and end up getting suckered into a sale. My father, always grim and silent as a scarecrow, could easily shuffle folks along to the next house. Thanks for your comment. Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted July 28, 2007 A very funny capture indeed...I like the diagonal composition, the addition of the graphical elements from stairs and arm-guide on the wall complement it nicely.... Link to comment
mark_q 0 Posted September 24, 2007 I have got my lesson; one should definitely browse throughout one's portfolio. How come I have missed this earlier? Hilarious title, thanks for good laughs. But seriously, simply marvellous composition in every detail. Plenty of tension points here. You did your duty very well here. Pleasing color palette and exposure finish this true gem. Congratulations. Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted October 13, 2007 OK so I know I'm not the first person to say this but still, Man this has got to be one of the funniest photos I have ever seen. I've still got a stitch in my side from laughing and I've been here for 5 minutes already! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 16, 2008 This simply couldn't be any better, and the title is the icing on the cake. The humor here is as much a part of the composition as the photographic elements. I wish I had made this shot. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted November 17, 2008 I posted this one awhile back, but it was taken the same day as the Garbo shot I just posted. I was wandering around back of the salon and saw these two waiting for their master. Anyhow, thanks so much for picking this one out of the line-up. Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted February 26, 2010 What pure pleasure it is for me to open up PN today and find this great shot in "Today's Sampling". I love how you captured them from above. I swear I can hear them discussing who's at the door. Wonderful work, Jeff. Link to comment
