j.k._york 0 Posted July 14, 2007 good long vertical composition with very deep DOF. if the water didn't have the dynamics of light and texture variations, I would say this was unbalanced. I teeter between wanting a little more foreground or none at all. Its just a long stretch from FG over the water to the houses making the water the dominant feature compositionally. i think the color and light are spot on perfect. i haven't looked to see if you have any variations on this shot (i will check after commenting). personally I like this shot as I am fond of vertical landscapes myself. cheers, J.K. ianward 0 Posted July 24, 2007 I appreciate your comments J.K The thing that made it vertical was the clump of daisies. They just seemed so right and needed to be in the frame. I could not get low enough without getting extremely wet to take a landscape shot and include them! I have posted a landscape version, please let me know what you think. Regards, Ian Link to comment
