antonio.giacomo 0 Posted July 10, 2007 It was shot on a Nikon D70s, which is totally the wrong camera for the job, and no tripod. I had a devil of a job getting the lens to slide up. Also, it is far too small. I have squashed it down as far as I can go, but even the original digital camera image has far more detail. Imagine what it would be like shot on 5x4. Link to comment
Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted July 10, 2007 Then, shoot it with a 4x5. You have the answer yourself. The image as is is a bit blurred and too compressed. Such a majestic scene deserves better treatment. JMHO. Link to comment
antonio.giacomo 0 Posted July 10, 2007 Hi Emmanuel. I have just persuaded my wife that we ought to return to Malta. I think that I have enough baggage allowance to carry a 5x4 outfit as well. The main problem is going to be the floor. They are elaborate marble tombstones, so I have to persuade the Cathedral authorities that I can use my tripod. Perhaps I might have to fit it with felt bootees. If that works, watch this space next July. Link to comment
Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted July 10, 2007 Good luck, and I'm glad you didn't take offense to my pretty harsh commentary. Link to comment
