gorgeous, I am often driving during sunset and which I could just freeze time get out and take photo's like this. But of course by the time I get out set up, its gone. Tree's and skys are my favorite backdrops. I can't help but study them, all the time. I'm pretty sure my friends are tired of hearing me say that'd make a great photograph. I admire your drive to "wait" for a shot like this. Great job.

Thanks Elizabeth. Waiting is easy at this locale, you just show up and it happens most of the time.

 

If you want to do this, you just have to plan your day around it. Look up when the sun sets first, and then show up an hour or so before. Do this enough and you learn to read the weather. Windy days are not so good compared to still ones. Cloud cover is important but not too much. Good Luck.
