baerbel 0 Posted July 10, 2007 Jim, since you asked - this is the Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain at 9720 feet. I made the climb in about eight hours, and when I reached this particular point I saw someone had beaten me to the top already. So I snapped his picture.... Well, okay-okay, the truth is: there are two restaurants at the top, one belonging to Germany, the other one to Austria. They are surrounded and connected by huge terraces. Climbing is not exactly my thing, so I made it up there via cog train and cable car and was sitting on one of the terraces enjoying a cup of cappuchino when I took this picture. I did alter it a bit. The original is below. Regards, Barb :) Link to comment

baerbel 0 Posted July 15, 2007 Thank you Janis and Mehmet, and yes, Shawn, I sort of went out of control on this one. It felt good, actually! :) Link to comment
