bretsch 0 Posted July 7, 2007 ?Though Catholic in faith, as a work of art the Chapel has a universal appeal. Its doors will ever be open to one and all, regardless of creed, that God may come to life in the souls of all men and be a living reality.?.....Thank you for your comments. Link to comment

lonebearimages 0 Posted July 10, 2007 Juan Carlos, this really is well done; high key presentation in the vertical format. Really superb interpretation of this iconic building. I have seen the church many times, and zillions of photographs; but this is really a sterling representation. Very well done. Cheers! Chris Link to comment

chyt 0 Posted July 11, 2007 the sharp contrast along with the cross position and the angle is making the image very dramatic. where is this cross?? Link to comment
bretsch 0 Posted July 11, 2007 It's in a small town in Arizona, it's name is Sedona. Quite a beautiful place. Link to comment
lennartmaschmeyer 0 Posted July 12, 2007 I like this very much, especially the black sky in contrast to the white lines of the chapel - it looks almost apocalyptic. Was this done with the combination of red and polarizing filter you once mentioned? The composition is flawless as well, congratulations! Lennart Link to comment

bretsch 0 Posted July 13, 2007 It's something quite similar, the digital equivalent you could say. I used a polarizer to get the most saturated colors I could, then I saturated the sky even more on the computer, and used a red filter equivalent in Nikon Capture NX, after that it was just a matter of a slight contrast adjustment. belenalvarez 0 Posted July 20, 2007 Para mi lo valioso de esta imagen es el angulo desde la que la has tomado. En mi opinion es lo que desprende esa dinamica que tiene, ensalzando la cruz como tema principal, y dandole ese contraste al cielo que la hace brillar por si sola. Es un tema dificil que has sabido interpretar de maravilla. Link to comment
djackson99 0 Posted August 18, 2007 Good control of shadow areas here Juan. I am still working on images I took of this chapel last April when I was there. You obviously climbed the rocks on the way up the hill to get this vantage point. Well done. Link to comment
drorbaldinger 0 Posted December 3, 2009 it is a must building to visit for every architecture student in arizona, and i was one of them. as dramatic as the image needs to be. Link to comment
bretsch 0 Posted December 10, 2009 Thank you Dror, I was lucky enough to have the sun hitting the cross almost perpendicular, had I visited the chapel at other time, this image wouldn't have been possible. I just had to do something about that....I'm glad you enjoyed the result. Link to comment
