Monica at Golden Gate Bridge

I'd appreciate tips on any improvements I could've made to this

picture. I used a fill flash, but it wasn't strong enough to get rid

of the shadows.

but it can do with some colour improvement (use histogram functions). You befooted Monica and the Goldan Gate should fill more of the photo. This is my humble opinion.

JMO - I would probably like to see more of Monica's face, and maybe her shoes. And the colors do need a little enhancement. I didn't have much time, but maybe something like this. Thanks for posting.

Cropping was my main concern with the picture. It was a spontaneous, candid shot which happened to turn out much more picturesque than normal.

 

Here's another shot taken around the same time; is it better/worse?

Yes, I saw the other one and I like the composition better, but there is a bothersome shadow on the face, since the sun is bright from the left. A nice reflector to the right of the subject would have done wonders, but I wouldn't have had one available, either. thanks

Should you not include her feet in the photo?

I don't think this one really succeeds. It's like two photos, one of the bridge and on of the woman.
