geris_k 0 Posted June 10, 2002 I like the shot. Her eyes are very powerful. I wish you would have been able to get a little more of her chin, but maybe this puts more focus on here eyes. I wish the picture had a little more contrast. Is this little girl blond? I would have like to see the hair a bit lighter, the darks a bit darker... Did you try one of these with fill flash? It can be tough because the N65 doesn't have flash compensation, and it's usually a bit too hot. I'm just curious if you tried any. Link to comment
mark_l 0 Posted June 12, 2002 I like the drama presented in this photo, her eyes are striking. I like the crop of this photo as well, adds a sense of intimacy and forcefulness...this is the one I enjoy the most of the series. Nice work! Link to comment
carl smith 0 Posted June 14, 2002 I agree, this is definitely the best of these shots. It has the best focus and expression, and the head looks much more intentionally framed than it does in some of the others. I think the image is compressed a little too much tonally. Don't expand it all the way, but I'd like a little more. Link to comment
mike_na 0 Posted June 15, 2002 I like this most from all of folder. The contrast much better and eyes are beautifully done. I like how you play up eyes. And no tree. I like this one. Link to comment
quarterfront 0 Posted July 1, 2002 Really nice. Very natural unposed feel and great framing. Link to comment
tom_permutt 0 Posted August 24, 2002 Right on target. Good framing, good expression, good separation from the (good, unintrusive but not dull) background, lovely range of tones. This may be a digital artifact, but I'm getting a muddy, splotchy texture in the lower, darker parts of her cheeks. I can't quite make out what is giving the pupils that remarkable shape. Do you know? Link to comment
scott bulger 0 Posted August 24, 2002 This is beautiful Jenny. Beautifully framed, great expression. My screen shows the hair to be very blonde, every screen is calibrated differently, so look at your print and decide. I have plenty of tonal range in what I am seeing. I would like to see just a little catchlight in the eyes though. That is my only minor nit pick. I hope you don't mind. Link to comment
cakeller98 0 Posted August 26, 2002 ...nice, it's got a great DOF, good exposure (you can see that she has color in her eyes, and her hair isn't too over, just right) still... there's something missing. I think this would benefit from a little bit more chine, and neck. This makes it look like her chin is resting on the fram... just looks a bit odd. Also, having the ear cropped like that draws way too much attention to the ear. I'd like to see that either completely cropped or with a little breathing room... just my opinions of course. Cheers! v. bice 0 Posted August 28, 2002 Great shot...for me she has question in her expression. Good light, good sharpness, good framing (I am a fan of off center posing). I would only add a little digital light back to the eye. Link to comment
