sweeney 0 Posted December 13, 2007 I think this is one of the most tasteful and properly used example of HDR that I have yet seen. I don't think it was designed to make a picture look like a freakin' cartoon. I think that if used properly people should either not know it was used or at the very least have some doubt in there mind. So often it is too obvious. However, I have seen a couple (and probably only a couple) where the subject was just right and the colors were that which made a heavy use of HDR "acceptable" to me. This is perfect. The average layperson would have no idea that something was "fishy" about this shot. A photographer knows that it's pretty much impossible to expose all of this properly in one shot without one hell of a lighting setup but you've kept it far from obvious. Very well done.
