root 0 Posted July 2, 2007 DC United hosted the Chicago Fire at RFK stadium this past June 16. As a retired player and coach, I was interested in the play on thefield, but was even more interested in the fans. Of the 200 imagescaptured, maybe thirty or so will be shown in a photo essay format, soplease consider each image as part of the series. Link to comment

dennisdixson 0 Posted July 9, 2007 I like this one a lot too. I was going to comment on it the other day but I was not exactly sure of what I wanted to say about it other than I thought the you had successfully captured the emotion of the instant or perhaps the illusive "decisive moment." I guess it was the framing that I was pondering the other day. I often find these sort of crowd shots difficult to frame without cutting off some important element. I like the face that you placed some open space at the top of the frame and yet we are still close to the action. You have successfully shown the size of the space and at the same time zeroed in on the individual experience of the spectators. I'm struck by how well the whole thing works. Yes, I really admire this one. Link to comment
root 0 Posted July 9, 2007 I was sitting directly in front of them (this is a slightly cropped fisheye shot.) The idea was to capture the celebration with an emphasis on the role of the confetti, which I thought needed quite a bit of space at the top to draw attention to it. They actually seemed apologetic for not having taken the time to shred the pamphlets into smaller pieces for greater affect. Link to comment
