cmiller1 0 Posted June 30, 2007 This is not my normal subject to shoot but I caught this in our hometown area when we had a fire this week. Sorry for the dirty sky but it is from the smoke blowing that direction.Any suggestions for me?Thank you,Carol Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted June 30, 2007 Actually, Carol, this is quite good. Wonderful composition with the wind generators in the background. Detail on the Sikorsky is exquisite; I like how the jet exhaust obscures some of the turbines. Very nice work. I live in Santa Clarita and definitely heard about this fire. Cheers! cmiller1 0 Posted June 30, 2007 Thank you Chris for the comment. I was fortunate to meet the pilots and crews of both helicopters this afternoon and see these up close. They are amazing in size and stature. I even was able to sit in the cockpit and here more stories from these great guys. The fire is all but out and they will return to their home base in the am. Thanks again for looking. Carol Link to comment
alex_kew 0 Posted July 1, 2007 Great shot of a remarkable machine! My only critism is that the shutter speed was too high, which has 'frozen' the rotor blades (and the wind turbines in the bg). Cheers, Alex Link to comment
