rblaser 0 Posted July 1, 2007 The open beak lends a bit of interest that I sometimes miss in bird photography - it makes the face more expressive. I also like the bits of red, giving it contrast. In some places, the detail seems a bit blurred? The eye and the beak are nice and sharp, but some of the feathers begin to get fuzzy. I can't tell if it's lens blur (shallow DOF) or perhaps noise reduction or something? Nice shot, though. Link to comment
sonneland 0 Posted July 1, 2007 I really like what you have done here, this image has character, which I find lacking in a lot of bird photography. Well done!! Link to comment
freeelectron 0 Posted July 2, 2007 Dear All, Thank you for your comments here. I suppose the blurring is due to the shallow DOF. If I have chance to try again, I would probably increase the DOF by a tiny bit, such that that outline of the head won't be that blurred. I am a beginner in bird photography. But I love birds really! I still have some birds photos in my portfolio. Do have a look at them when you have time. Thank you very much. Regards. Link to comment
