janvanlaethem 0 Posted June 27, 2007 Dragonfly. My first attempt at macro with living subjects. Link to comment
iancoxleigh 0 Posted July 10, 2007 I came from your W/NW post. I really like the colours here -- they give a nice sombre (almost wintry) feeling that fits well with the dead leaf. I really like dragonflies and have quite a few recent shots of them that you might like -- but, I shoot digital and I'm all the more impressed that you took this on film with a FM3A. Link to comment
iancoxleigh 0 Posted July 10, 2007 I came back today to look at rest of your portfolio and I just have to say that this picture just keeps getting better and better in my mind. I really do love the soft blues colours and the soft wings with tight, crisp body. It is quite unlike other dragonfly photos. This deserves at 7/6 or 7/7 for sure -- but, it won't let me give you a 7 since you gave me one within the last 14 days. I try to remember to come back and see you new stuff in a while and 'up' this rating. Link to comment
janvanlaethem 0 Posted July 11, 2007 Thanks for your comments Xiang and Ian. I only had about ten seconds to set up my camera on a tripod, focus and fire off a couple of shots before the dragonfly flew away. Looking back, my only regret is that I should have backed up a little bit more to include the wing tip at the top left hand side. Your comments are greatly appreciated. regards Jan Link to comment
belenalvarez 0 Posted May 29, 2008 Esta me parece fabulosa. Los tonos frios del fondo y la suavidad del color me parecen una maravilla. Todo el detalle que recogen las alas y el tipo de composicion tienen mucho sentido para mi. No me importa que el ala este un poco cortada. Link to comment
