derron 0 Posted June 23, 2007 This is sharp and catchy, it makes the eye move all over the place. Ansel Adams has a picture like this that is one of my favorites. Good work. Link to comment

bartimeus1 0 Posted June 24, 2007 Yep, I will post this as a BW conversion, when I return back to home. Link to comment

mommix 0 Posted June 25, 2007 Fantastic composition, I like the contrasts between the birches and the green! Bravo, compliments, Maury Link to comment
j.k._york 0 Posted June 25, 2007 when i imagine a stand of birch, this is what i see. i have tried to find this shot for years. you may convert it to b/w, but i think the green is vital to the power of this nearly monochromatic work. it might be fun to see the abstract crop of just the trees however. excellent. jeffl7 0 Posted June 25, 2007 Alpo, This is striking and extremely well captured. Whether B&W or color, this is an effective composition. Personally, I think the green anchors the shot. Because the grass is so contrasted, I suspect the B&W version would flatten the effect unless you darkened it significantly, but then you might lose all the great details. Bottomline, though, is that this is your photo, and how you chose to handle this scene is great. Link to comment
