j_m_lee_photography 0 Posted June 20, 2007 Nice macro and dof. What lens are you using? Last week I saw you at NUH Dental clinic. Hmm... I think it's you. Link to comment

ela 0 Posted June 22, 2007 I wish this photo was sharper... when you get any bug so close, you have such an opportunity to show all the details of it's body, and you blur it??? just doesn't do it for me. Link to comment

jxiong 0 Posted June 22, 2007 Ela Jakiela, thanks for ur comment! yah i am lamenting my lack of sharpness too.. i was tryin to shoot at more than F/16 but my flash was dying on me and anythin smaller than F/16 would be too dark ah.. so guess that's part of the reason y it wasn't as sharp as it shd be.. ;( ha, this is my first time being able to get this close to a dragonfly, so there's much for me to learn! ;p Link to comment
vancouverphotographer 1 Posted June 22, 2007 The colours are great. What focal length were you using? Someone mentioned the shallow DOF (that's something I struggle with a lot too) but may I suggest, if it's that shallow to watch your focus, i.e. focus on it's eyes. Link to comment
