I like the deep green colors. One suggestion, though - it might have a bit more impact if you desaturate the background just a bit.

 

I have a similar image where I tried it and it really made the "hands" stand out.

Thanks Tom. That's an interesting idea and for me, here, it would be quite easy (unlike in your image). I think I could desaturate the magenta, orange, and red channels and that would handle the background and not affect any of the arisaema leaves.
