scott_hotaling 0 Posted June 16, 2007 After waiting for several days for enough of the lake's frozen surface to thaw, I eventually was awarded with this majestic scene. Link to comment

verminoid 0 Posted June 16, 2007 Beautiful shot! An excellent reflection, although I would have loved to see a bit more water and a bit less ice. Link to comment
michael_r_riley 7 Posted June 16, 2007 Awesome landscape and well done in B&W. Well worth the cold wait! :) Link to comment
nilangsu mahanty 0 Posted October 18, 2007 It's a perfect picture, Scott. I cannot imagine how a color version would look. B&W seems so wonderful in this photo. If there is anything at all I can dream of, it's a bit more reflection off the lake. Regards, Nilangsu Link to comment
nealcurrie 1 Posted January 19, 2009 This is definitely one of the nicer captures of one of the most photographed lake in Banff National Park - nicely done. Most images of this lake (including a couple I've taken) feel opposite to yours - shot shot in summer with deep saturated colours and a "busy" feeling, while this marvelous image you've created has a very soft, tranquil feel to it that I really like and much prefer it over most. Please confirm that this was shot before the sun made it into the valley, with a graduated ND filter of how many stops? Link to comment
