was not suppose to be in this... He snuck in while waiting for Kathy to come up. She is the white blur in the middle right. After seeing him sitting there, I thought it gave the Solitary idea a little more meaning. Maybe should've enlarged this a bit...

pretty scene, like it! I feel like it's the moment right before the clouds burst open! BTW-what is that little "thing" in the field?

Forgive me,

Didn't realize you posted an image on this theme.

The composition is excellent.

The take of the theme is excellent.

I think this image would be really something special if the sky was a little more interesting.

Dennis, I haven't been back by here since you responded. You not only live in a nice place, but I like the way the country begins to open up in that part of the world, where the meadow and trees are competing, and--if one is headed west--the trees are losing.

I remember an area close to my house north of KC, Missouri, where the south-facing slopes were grassy, and the north-facing slopes were covered with oaks. When traveling west northwest out of Fort Worth on 287, I remember how it suddenly opened up around Bowie, same as OKC. I first drove into OKC at night through some oak forests that I couldn't see very well. We stayed at a motel on the SW side of town and then headed for my new job in Wichita Falls. Talk about a shocker as we found ourselves immediately on the rolling prairie!

Next shocker: pink granite coming up out of the ground. . . the Wichita Mountains!

What country that is out there. I never did get over to Altus. . . but I did manage to go on west into New Mexico. I could have stayed out there forever. Those were the days.
