Micki: I am currently using a Kodak Z612 so it is a P&S but has tons of manual settings that allow me to practice and get ready for my eventual SLR.

I have the FUJI and LOVE it!

 

I think it is funny because the new point and shoots are just as good as the camera's were five years ago (digital top of the line ~ almost if you put them in high resolution). You ccan do alot with them except for certain DOF stuff that you just don't have any choice in.

 

I absolutely love mmine because of the ease at which I can use it.

 

I did spend the last three days teaching myself your technique here :) ~ Thanks for giving me the push to try something new (I know you didn't do it but it gave me the incentive).

Why thank you Micki... that means so much because I think I am the absolutely newest person to photography and to PS, so to have someone say I gave them the incentive is an absolute complement. Thank you.

Actally I just did some eyes that I have been saving to do. I have been playing with the technique all day (while playing PS2 with my son). So Now I am having a ball doing something I never had to use before and it was always there right in front of me easy as pie. hmmm

 

Yep ~ I have only been "taking" pictures since January but been working pictures for a long long time. So you are not the only newbie :)
