satishnair 0 Posted June 13, 2007 Critiques welcome (better if viewed larger). Thanks. Link to comment
Dale M 1 Posted June 13, 2007 Nice idea, but I find my attention drawn entirely by the horizontal blue line beneath the mountains. Since you are altering the image, maybe you should clone it out... Link to comment
priit_pole 0 Posted June 13, 2007 Its very good idea to make a spot light like this way. I like the idea Link to comment
satishnair 0 Posted June 13, 2007 Thanks for taking the time to comment, but Dale: please don't jump to conclusions. There is no 'alteration' done on the imaage (and indeed, to any of my images). My adjustments are limited to color temperature, saturation, levels and sharpness on the RAW format image. The horizontal blue line is (obviously) the wind picking up on the far edge of the pond, and I don't intend to clone it out. It is just the way it was. Link to comment
vicenteconcha 8 Posted June 13, 2007 Amazing, a fantasy made reality, stones that when stepping on them get illuminated, showing the way. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted June 13, 2007 This is a nice idea and an attention-grabbing image, and I like it. I also understand the blue line in the background is entirely natural. However, I can't agree that adjustments in color temperature and saturation do not constitute an altered image (regardless of what PN guidelines might say). This is an altered image, and it has been altered in a way that most people (including me) will find interesting. Nice job with the camera, and nice job with the computer-based post-processing. ajayan 0 Posted August 30, 2010 I Went thro all above comments. Sathish, it is a creation of yours. And u deserve the credit, whether you call it "altered or not altered" for me it is a creation, not a photograph alone. congrats. ajayan Link to comment
