fabriceh 0 Posted June 14, 2007 How I would go about improving the picture: 1. make a statetement. It's hard to tell what you want the picture to be about: the stream? the plains? the mountains? the clouds? 2. Use the 1/3rd rule - either have 1/3rd of your picture be sky, or 1/3rd of your picture be ground. Right now you're 1/2 & 1/2, which is a much less interesting composition. 3. Pop the light or colors. In a photo editing app bring more exposure/light/ contrast/saturation, at least on some part of the picture (back to pt1 above - what do you want the picture to be about?). Bring more warmth and life in the picture. 4. Your clouds are uniform, either cut them out (using the 1/3rd rule above) or make them more interesting in photoshop. Link to comment
dgarner23 0 Posted June 14, 2007 I appreciate your comments. I am much more interested in your comments on composition than manipulating in PS. I have done very basic adjustments to lighten the forground, etc.. At this time I am trying to improve my photography, not my Computer skills. I know PS has a place in photography, but I tend to be a minimalist. Thanks for all of your comments. Link to comment
