stevebryson 0 Posted June 12, 2007 I'm having trouble deciding what to do with this image. The top left image is the original, three dolphins that were pretty deep when photographed. But the composition is so nice I want to save it. The top right picture is a large color balance change (maxing red and yellow). Bottom left is enhancing contrast through levels and curves. Bottom right combines several versions including glowing edges with various blending options, trying to bring out the edges better. Can you tell me which one you like best? Thanks steve Link to comment
merrittmiller 0 Posted June 12, 2007 You've done an amazing job at bringing out the dolphins. I'd say that the last guy would be quite the image with a little noise reduction. From the looks of it you know much more Photoshop than I so I shouldnt be the one to tell you how to go about it. Congrats on recovering the detail. Link to comment
stevebryson 0 Posted June 12, 2007 for the nice comments. When I try photoshop noise reduction on the image it looks somewhat cartoonish. The problem is that the noise is pretty strong and has large "grain" size at full resolution. Does anyone out there have any noise reduction suggestions? - steve Link to comment
parvindabas 0 Posted June 13, 2007 excellent image steve,i actually like the last image as a fine art image because of the grain rather than a wildlife one. Link to comment
