gl5 0 Posted June 9, 2002 "Should have used my 300." exactly. the airplanes are just too small. also, i would like the photograph more if the flag wasn't cut off. Link to comment
markrupert 0 Posted June 9, 2002 Not likely to strike a positive chord with anyone who is not already a cheerleader for the home team. And a tired old cliche to boot (perhaps somewhat like American power itself, although I doubt such an ironic interpretation was the intent here). Shouldn't we try to exercise our creativity in our photography rather than reproduce official propaganda? mark Link to comment
icepucks 0 Posted June 9, 2002 Just an image from an airshow. You political science background has gone to your head, I think the image is creative, and in no means was meant as political propoganda. As for your images...for example...Sacco & Vanzetti commermorative mural..anyone can take an picture of someone else's work...where is the creativity? As a professor, your spelling is pretty bad too. markrupert 0 Posted June 10, 2002 Yes, my spelling is poor, especially when I'm typing quickly. As for the mural photo, if you look more carefully you may notice a human form in motion on the right side: I carefully set this up to juxtapose S&V sharp and clear and a real human looking ghostly and insubstantial. It may not be especially well executed (I'm learning), but it was carefully thought out and had a creative idea behind it. BTW: saying that your photo wasn't "political" strikes me as a cop-out. If this isn't political, what is? mark Link to comment
kris_mckinnon 0 Posted June 10, 2002 this ones a bit too grainy and cropped strange - if they were going towards the crowd over the flag it might be good, but right no. Sorry :( Link to comment
icepucks 0 Posted June 11, 2002 does the flag need to be politicized? I was acting as a photojournalist recording an event of local interest. The title of my image is the only thing that wreaks of politics. God Bless America...there, now is that political enough? Look at my other images..don't judge me by one (very poor image) in my personal opinion. Link to comment
