Not much to criticize here: good exposure, sharp, reasonable depth of field. But on the basis that any picture could be improved I would suggest that you not center them next time but put more space on the right, the direction into which they are apparently moving. It would give more dynamics to the composition.

Tony... Beautiful birds, but a question for you and your experience with mallards. Are there several species of mallards? I noticed that this male does not have the patch of blue feathers on his rear quarter, but the males in your "Mallard Family" and the one I took recently here LINK have the small patch. Just trivia, but caught my attention.... again, excellent shot... Mike
