The morning after the storm....

One morning after a big thunderstrom i took this picture of a

marguerite in my parents' garden. I know the background is quite

turbulent, but i did not want to change the background with ps or so.

Stefan, After looking at your composite I decided to look at your flowers folder. This image, by itself, is very powerful. The water droplets make the picture and the background is perfectly fine with the foreground. If it were mine I would crop off a tiny bit of the left side.

Extraordinary! Beautiful image, well composed and sharply focused. My only suggestion would be to clone in some dark blurs into the large white area of the backdround on the left of the photo. It would help define the upper left margin of the photo.

Stefan, the crop is definitely in order. The background is fine. A gold reflector throwing some light on the stem would have made this a perfect image. Awesome details. However, the image is pixelating on my screen. Did you shoot it in Tiff format?

Ok, the water drops look great, that's given. Now what about the angle ? Is that really the best angle ? More serious: what kind of colors and light is this ?! Terrible if you ask me. Then the background is so very busy... Sorry, 6 for me in aesthetics is the most. I don't mean any disrespect here, don't get me wrong. Just writing what I feel is right. Regards.
