Yosemite Valley Chapel

Very, very nice. I am seldom drawn to landscapes these days, but this one grabbed my attention for the wonderful composition, the light slanting through haze, and the rich colors. Very well done!

I like the composition. The only openion l have a is that by reduce 1/2 stop of exposure to pick the warm color of the yellow grass and the cold smoke 0f the air. Then I will focus on the foreground grass and let the DOF to take care the

house and tree.

nice shot! lots of interest in this photo. i like the colors and the levels, especialy the way the nice vibrant grass in the foreground offsets the paler hues that lighten gradually all the way to the top of the picture. very well balanced, clean, the various tree heights in the picture provide a nice frame of reference. the only thing that bugs me is that mysterious shadow on the field in the foreground...

Thanks for the comments. This has always been one of my favorite photos. I hope the vibrant color comes through.. on my laptop LCD it looks a little desaturated, but not on my monitor.

 

There was a row of large trees to the left of the chapel. This caused the sun rays though the haze and it also caused the large shadow in the foreground.

this is totaly amazing. it is breathtaking. i really like it. may i have your permission to paint this someday?
