Donna Stavis 0 Posted June 8, 2007 Very good composition, tones and lighting, but I'm wondering how it might look if you cropped the bottom (which I don't think adds anything) and the left up to the gap in the wall, and just a tinge from up top, leaving the roof of the building in the background. The focus would be tighter on the girl yet still give a feel of her surroundings. Anyway, I experimented a bit, and it seemed to work. Link to comment
gungajim 75 Posted June 8, 2007 Donna has already said what I was going to say. Such a crop also get the girl off center both vertically and horizonally. Great capture of her expression. Link to comment
michaelging 1 Posted June 8, 2007 I think this is a very good photo that could be a great photo if you tightened up the composition with a little cropping and burning. I hope you do not take offense by my workng on your photo. I will delete my version if you wish. Its a great photo in any way. Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted June 8, 2007 A great photo. You've inspired others to experiment. In each of the revised versions, Michael and Donna offered a different viewpoint. I like both of them, particularly Donna's simple crop, but the original retains the context to interpret this little girl's life in its totality. Nicely done. Link to comment
