jeffl7 0 Posted June 6, 2007 Money well spent. This is a phenomenal photo, not only with the details but also with the colors. Great job. (I'm not allowed to rate as I'd like, so a Hoorah!! will have to suffice) Link to comment

je.barreto1 0 Posted June 6, 2007 I think there is a part of the bee body out of focus (same in the first flowers). If all the bee body was in focus the result was better. Perhaps I'm wrong. I don't know anything about macro photography. The visible detail is very good and the colors collection is wonderful. Best regards. Link to comment
johnholland 0 Posted June 6, 2007 You have captured the details of the bee and the flower nicely. A little more DOF would have brought the bee's antenna into focus. Link to comment
mixmasta 0 Posted June 6, 2007 Wonderful Capture! Beautiful colors!! I am going to have to agree with Jose, on the upper half of the Bee's body is out of focus. But I also understand how hard it is to get a crystal clear shot of these guys! *Tip* While in post-processing, in photoshop if you use the blur tool at a larger size, and run it over the background, it will help with the noise. davidorea 1 Posted June 7, 2007 Beautiful macro, Sarah. A delight of composition with very nice colors and DOF. Excellent background, light and sharpness. Good shot! Best regards! Link to comment
bartimeus1 0 Posted June 7, 2007 Those parts that are in focus, really are pin sharp! Also the DoF is excellent. Is this a heavy crop, or just slightly sliced away from the original size? If you view my "Details from the nature"-folder, you`ll find couple of days old Bee closeups that were shot with 300mm Nikkor. Those are being cropped rather heavily..., But even the old manual focusable Nikkor lenses really excel when properly used, not to speak about the 105-micro Nikkors... :-) Very fine macro-photo! rogerleekam 0 Posted June 8, 2007 Three excellent macros of which this is, for me, the best. The side view lets us see the entire bee and its reltionship to the flower. Focus, background perfect and tightly cropped as it should be. Link to comment
lucyhollis 2 Posted June 8, 2007 Beautiful colours. It makes the bee not look so terrifying! Link to comment
vancouverphotographer 1 Posted June 10, 2007 Great composition and colours ... someone mentioned "out of focus" - I think I see a bit of the top part of the bee being soft, be careful with focus and DOF - I struggle with those two things a lot in addition to my handholding. Link to comment
