james_watt 0 Posted June 2, 2002 I would have to say that so far your doing pretty well in this realm. Nice looking folder too. Keep up the good work! J.W. Link to comment
jefro 0 Posted June 3, 2002 I like the lighting a lot, but the depth of field is startling. Her shoulders are SO out of focus compared with her face that it almost looks Photoshopped. You might try closing down the lens about 1 stop or so, and focus directly on the eyes, as you have done. Link to comment
joao cleto 0 Posted June 3, 2002 I like it very much , but i think it would be better with a little more DOF like said in the previous comment Link to comment
loren 0 Posted June 3, 2002 That's the best part of asking for advice. You learn something from it. Shot this at f/3.2, but I think that one stop more would have made it better. Thank you for taking the time. Link to comment
Timo Hartikainen 556 Posted June 5, 2002 pretty good portrait, but the lighting is not so good, there's a bright spot on the left cheek & bad shadow from her nose, IMO. Link to comment
vaewyn 0 Posted June 5, 2002 Love the depth of field... really pulls you into those eyes. Link to comment
gib 0 Posted June 25, 2002 this is a question I always puzzle over....looking at your really interesting and fine portrait, I ask myself would the image be stronger or better if you had not cut her hair on the left of the image and cut the top of her hair? Reading the comments above I think I would like to see her jewelery, shoulders and face all in focus. Excellent model who has very expressive eyes. I hope you get to work with her more.
