wow what a striking image. Superb colours that work well togehter. I love this photo, why cant we have subjects like this in the uk?!!!

This photo ( all all similar photos from other privileged photographers ) are breath taking, not only for the dynamics of the photo but for the information which is here. Many believe that layers of sedimentation were laid down over billions of years but there's evidence here, on the right side of this image, that these layers were laid down by flood waters. Spectacular evidence, so I love this photo for more than just the photo quality and dynamics !!

 

How else could evolution explain the force(s) which shaved off the tops of these strata and then laid down other layers on top of them !!

Diana, this is another very fine image in your collection. Very well done, and you've used the extreme light of mid-day to really enhance and highlight the geology. Wonderful contrast with the deep blue of the sky. This image has a lot of 'pop' too. Great job! Cheers! Chris
