henrimanguy 0 Posted June 5, 2007 Bravo! Magnificent landscape excellently composed and exposed. The long exposure is perfectly measured and the pale lines of flowing water in the foreground are of the best effect. Link to comment
danstan 0 Posted June 5, 2007 Beautiful, colors, details, the layers of the rock, nice. Link to comment

paula grenside 0 Posted June 5, 2007 Jay, I see you have been on another trip to a magical place. I love the wealth of textures and light in the foreground leading to the small fall. Link to comment
lalit 0 Posted June 5, 2007 Beautiful composition and very pleasing shot. The only nit gritty critique I have is to dodge the upper right corner little bit. The area left to fall is also little dark but is rather less noticeable due to the fall, but might as well be a good idea to dodge there. Link to comment
teethgator 0 Posted June 6, 2007 Jay, Like all your work just beautiful. This brings back memories-I spent many summers swimming in and I do mean in Blackwater falls. What a wonderfull spot Link to comment
kristin_morales 0 Posted June 22, 2007 This one is one of my favorites!! The detail in the water and the visual flow is exciting. Another stunner for your polished portfolio. Link to comment
tylerwind 0 Posted June 23, 2007 Jay--Your composition here could not be any better. I can look at this scene and see that I would have never come up with this composition, which is why you are far better than me! I love how the waterfall is placed in the upper left and you are far enough away to make it appear just the right size. Furthermore, your colors and saturation are superb. Exposures at waterfalls (in my experience) can be a nightmare because of the shadowns from trees, rocks, etc. You hit the nail on the head buddy! Great work! Link to comment
forestwander 0 Posted August 30, 2008 This is a wonderful capture of one of my favorite waterfalls in West Virginia. Excellent work. I would like to share one of my captures of the same waterfall from last year when it was really low. Magical Elakala Waterfalls Maybe I will see you there some time. ForestWander Link to comment
