Golden Cove

ian cameron

Cove Bay, Hopeman, Moray, Scotland. The theatrical light of a passing storm at the end of a long summers day paints the sandstone edifice with brilliant golden light. The cobbled stones each as big as baseballs are barely grazed by the direct light of the setting sun but never-the-less pick up the soft reflected light off the rocks tinging them in soft gold. It all looks astonishingly good with a dark brooding sky behind. Pentax 67 II ,45mm lens,Fujichrome Velvia F22 at 1/2 sec 0.6ND hard edged grad across edifice and sky. Please check out the New Photographic Holidays on at TRANSIENT LIGHT.

Asombrosa toma, perfecto el encuadre con una luz magnifica y la nitidez desde el primer plano hasta el horizonte, en definitiva un 7 sobre 7. Enhorabuena.

Striking shot Ian! I really like the contrast between the strong light on the cliffs and the much softer light on the beach stones.
