Great minds think alike. I just posted one of a dad and son. I love the colors in this one and her expression is wonderful. This really works. The beautiful cream color of her top against her skin, which you really nailed. Perfect skin tone, beautiful lips, love the whisps of hair over her eyes. The blue background enhances the soft colors of her face and clothing. Not sure how I feel about the ambiguity of the mother. Just the suggestion of her head, without even a blurred face doesn't seem enough. I'll think about it some.

I should have the face out of it even more. My Daughter was Breast Fed for 2.5 years, here she gets a rare change to reunite with her old friends. That is what caused the expression on her face. The title is wrong..

Thanks for getting me into window light BTW. I never really used it before and all of my latest shots with my daughter have been soft window light (opposite side to the sun) and all inspired by you.

I personally don't have a problem with the patially obscured person.

I must say that this one does not do much for me, Ger. I do like her look and that messy hair! It is the fact that mom is too hidden for me. I do get it a bit more now that you explained the scene though.

Well I am Ger's wife and I have to comment on that photo.... Ger is not telling the whole truth about it.

I breastfed her for 2.5 years and stopped.

This photo does not represent a mother and daughter moment. This photo represents a child and her titi moment.

The expression on her face is the expression of happiness and contentment given by something and not someone.

It used to be her confort and her food and her Teddy Bear and her bond to me and her everything for 2,5 years. She is so happy to give it a hug from time to time and this is the symbolic representation of that moment.

That photo means a lot to me.

Ger does not know I am writting this. It took me 10 minutes to work out where to go to write this......

to the titi moment that is! Ger... you can tell your wife I just weaned my son at 2.5 years just a couple months ago. He's may last one and certainly held on to it for comfort and bonding. Cherish the moments! This is just as sweet as can be and tells a story. That, my friend, is a moment well captured.
