quasifoto 0 Posted June 3, 2007 Any comments or critiques are welcome. I struggled with placing the horizon right at the center, but really wanted the tree branch there and was not able to move to compose differently (on a cliff trail). Does it still work? Thanks,Gary Link to comment
rjeffrey 0 Posted June 3, 2007 I think the horizon works very well where it is. The issue I have is the balance of the composition. Having both land and tree at left pull all the weight and attention to that side. Having the light source (sunset) at right helps though. Still, it's a well done capture. Link to comment
danieljohansson 0 Posted June 3, 2007 Very beautiful photo! I like the colors and the composition with the tree is very nice. p.s. the horizon is tilting a bit... Link to comment
bertr 0 Posted June 3, 2007 This is a very good shot...Don't let this stupid taboo about never to cut a picture in half...always in thirds..stop you from composing the way you seem fit. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 3, 2007 Beautiful colors. But I do think it needs some rotation to the left. Link to comment
c brake 0 Posted June 3, 2007 It works beautifully. I love the colors and mood. Very nice focus and shutter speed. It could use a lil rotation to the left as mentioned above. A really beautiful piece of work. You should be very pleased with it! Link to comment
jeff.grant 0 Posted June 4, 2007 I'm with the crowd, the colours are beautiful, very delicate. A quick correction to the tilt and it's done. Link to comment
quasifoto 0 Posted June 4, 2007 Thank you so much everyone for your suggestions and comments! I rotated it a tad as suggested, hopefully enough?? Thanks again! Regards, Gary Link to comment
jim craig 0 Posted June 4, 2007 You made some good choices with regards to composition, lighting and shutter speeds to produce a beautiful, well done image Gary. Not sure I would have even noticed the tilting horizon had it not been pointed out by previous posters. Link to comment
