andreas_sullivan 0 Posted May 31, 2002 I was walking around North East Portland with my trusty N70 in my camera bag. I had no plan to take picture, I was just getting into a habit of carrying camera everywhere I go. I was waiting for my bus, when I saw the light was VERY WILD !!! What I mean wild...is really really really WILD !!! The sky was very beautiful. I run accross the street and find a good spot to take some pictures. I was dissapointed that there were many obstacles around (trees, buldings, etc), my hope to get the best exposure of the day was gone...and my bus just passing by. I got back to bus stop and waited for another bus. Suddenly my eyes struck on a bunch of flowers that was glow beautifully...I knew I would get a very good exposures and composition. I run across the street again for the second time, and composed a composition for the flowers. I saw my bus was coming, and I only had one chance. I quickly metered the scene, stop down one stop to increase color saturation, and took only one exposure, then I run back to catch my bus........ Link to comment
lex_jenkins 13 Posted May 31, 2002 Fantastic capture of natural light! Absolutely stunning. Someone is bound to find fault with the division of the composition into nearly perfect thirds, but I wouldn't change a thing. Link to comment
feng_bei 0 Posted May 31, 2002 Very nice one. There is one flower being cut off at right. Would it be better if that flower was not present or the frame was moved a little bit to it right to include that flower? Link to comment
anirban_sett 0 Posted June 1, 2002 The flowers seem to reach out to catch the last rays of sun. 1/2 stop more exposure could have been better , but anyway I'd love to take a photo like this ! Link to comment
