Moothukadu is about 25 km from Chennai on the Bay of Bengal. Entire

villages in this area were abandoned after the tsunami. Many of the

houses that weren't destroyed still stand in near pristine

condition, the paint being especially brilliant. This is the front

of one of those abandoned homes that I passed by as I walked through

this village on my way to the beach.
