heimbrandt 590 Posted May 29, 2002 Well the shot is nice, but as a birdlover I really have serious doubts about this sort of animal photography. You really run a huge risk of scaring away the parents for good when taking a shot like this. No animal photo is worth risking the life/lives of the animals for. Link to comment
justin_herrold2 0 Posted May 29, 2002 Thats true with birds, but not Robins, they take care of their babies even if you rip the nest down and the babies fall on the ground and you pick them up. (Not that i've ever done anything like this) I know how Robins are, relax everyone, the mother is still taking very good care of them, I promise not to scare the mother away. Link to comment
patanjali_parimi 0 Posted June 2, 2002 Wonderful photgraph to show the desire (or instict) to survive. Which mother, even in dark, wouldn't drop food into the shining yellow, tender beaks. These chicks seem to exploit the color to get food. ....You have a great talent to find bird nests :) Link to comment
think27 0 Posted June 3, 2002 Good for you!! Glad to hear the birds will not object and I certainly hope you got a model release.. Mainly what I want to say is that you really went out on a limb to get this shot... Jeez.. I can't be serious - whatever I write comes out wrong... Sincerely though, this is outstanding. Great perspective, DOF, color, texture. Outstanding. You must have been so thrilled with the result. Link to comment
norman_roberts 0 Posted June 3, 2002 Would love to see a B&W version. Perhaps darken the perimeter. Link to comment
apps 0 Posted June 4, 2002 This is just an awesome shot and IMHO, exactly the kind that artfully disregards the rule of thirds. Regardless of rules and all that nonsense, this photo makes me feel good by just looking at it! I would prescribe it for anyone who was depressed, anxious or otherwise diagnosed! Link to comment
mark e 0 Posted June 27, 2002 Very nice shot. It makes you feel like you are the mother bird bringing in the worm ;-) Link to comment
