jcg23 0 Posted May 27, 2007 Taken in the outer Hebrides. A storm approaching gave a wonderful dark back back drop to these beautiful standing stones. Link to comment
mike_stemberg 40 Posted May 27, 2007 I love the light on those stones .... Yes, I do! ...but am also wondering if a teeny touch more Contrast would not have lifted the stones to a higher plane (not literally) ;-) Mike Oops! I just viewed the Larger version after posting this.. and it looks a lot lot better as it is...?! Link to comment
ryourth 0 Posted May 27, 2007 Agree with Mike that the lighting contributes strongly to this powerful image. Makes you wonder how many storms these boulders have withstood in their time.Regards-Ross Link to comment
rajeevthomas 1 Posted May 27, 2007 Jane...beautiful light. Very moody and exceptionally right for the type of the scene...!! Light falling the stones are magical...well captured and skillful, regards, Rajeev Link to comment
forrest_andrew 0 Posted May 30, 2007 dramatic lighting. the contrast between the warm side lighting and the ominous gray clouds is wonderful. i find the left side of the image weaker than the rest, perhaps a tighter crop of the 5 main pillars would focus the viewers eye?? Link to comment
bigginger 0 Posted May 30, 2007 Great shot, the dramatic lighting adds an eerie feel to the scene. Link to comment
tim parkin 0 Posted May 30, 2007 But agree that a cropping off the left hand side just to the right of the stone wall would make this a lot more powerful. I'm jealous I didn't wait for the rain :-) Link to comment
