I owe you an apology. You left me a question two months ago and I failed to respond. But, I think you have your answer in this picture. There is no trick at all with portrait photography. The subject ALWAYS mirrors your expression. If you smile, they tend to smile. This is just a wonderful image that transmits not just the rays of light from the camera, but the JOY that is childhood. It is, in other words, priceless.
