I love high contrast and subdued colors in classical-looking portraits. I do agree with the above comment about the right hand being hidden, but I did not catch that immediately (amateur photographer eyes I think). I like her expression!

splendid portrait, rinolda, that too a non-posed one. i don't believe any part of anyone's body in any portrait *should* or *must* be in a certain way. they are how they are. unless it's a posed shot for a specific purpose, the way the person chooses to (be it unconsciously) present themselves ... that's what they are.

the image catches your attention immediatly ...

 

only i would have liked her face to be a little more titles to the left , so we can see her other eyes too

1000 words just wouldn't be enough. There is such depth to the subjects' face; I want to imagine her laughing. Very rich colour and the light on her face says 'Rembrant'. Thanks for this one, Rinaldo.
