rogan 0 Posted May 26, 2002 Got to wonder where the centre of focus is here. I mean, what are we really looking at? Great sky, interesting aircraft, even the ground and not to forget mention of the light. Isuppose if this was shoot for a WInston ad, there's certainly enough room to drop in a cigarette pack somewhere here. Link to comment
carl_williams 0 Posted May 27, 2002 ¡David, gracias - el cielo era grande para vuelo a vela en ese día! Rogan - I fly gliders, so I was looking at the sky - hadn't thought to turn it into a cigarette ad, I have to say... I guess the subject is really the clouds leading off to wherever, with the sense of motion Rick mentioned. Should have called it "cloud streets" or something, 'cept they're not obviously lined up. A picture about sweeping space and an over-fondness for wide-angle lenses, I guess :-) Link to comment
jim_erickson1 0 Posted June 6, 2002 I think this is an outstanding photo that probably can only be appreciated in a large format. The larger the better to get the full impact of the space. Link to comment
jwenting 0 Posted June 16, 2002 Excellent. You happened upon an ideal way to shoot the wide open plains, and the right conditions to enable that shot to be made. Link to comment
stephen_dowling1 0 Posted June 19, 2002 This is a great picture, beautifully balanced and... expectant. Like the plane can't wait to take off. Great shot. Link to comment
outward 0 Posted June 23, 2002 Being an aviation photographer, any photo with an aircraft gets my attention. This one works well. The space in front of the plane works well as suggesting it's ready to take off and the dark clouds add a mood to the photo where a clear sky would have been ordinary. Great photo. Link to comment
straycat 0 Posted June 24, 2002 An excellent use of wide angle perspective particularly as it conveys the clouds. Very attractive to my eye. Link to comment
