marc_pelissier 0 Posted May 24, 2002 It was raining at the time of that shot which explains the rainbow. The red sand is kalahari sand. I took this pictures because I liked the color contrast between the lioness and the sand. Unfortunately I couldn't avoid the dark bush on the right so I try to put it out of focus. What do you think ?Marc Pelissier - Paris - Francehttp://wild.images.free.fr/images/titlemin_01.jpghttp://wild.images.free.fr/images/titlemin_02.jpg Link to comment
philippe 0 Posted May 24, 2002 Nice haircut, this guy has..., No, you are right, the bush is a pity, but the image overall is very nice and peacefull. Link to comment
aditya_agarkar__www.poptec 0 Posted May 25, 2002 Nice constrast. However the sand has an almost unnatural colour. Link to comment
marc_pelissier 0 Posted May 25, 2002 I know the sand color might seem unreal, but i did not oversaturated it in Photoshop. I can insure you that it was the real color. This is typical of kalahari sand ;-))Marc Pelissier - Paris - Francehttp://wild.images.free.fr/images/titlemin_01.jpghttp://wild.images.free.fr/images/titlemin_02.jpg Link to comment
umd 0 Posted May 25, 2002 Excellent, stands out among similar shots. Bush is no problem, without it the scene would look out of place, like an artificial environment. Link to comment
patanjali_parimi 0 Posted May 25, 2002 Ha! A lion with a rainbow! Wonderful! The bush in line with the lion is definetly not a problem, it adds well. However, the bush in the foreground could have been avoided, or taken into focus along with rest of the pic. It would then give a nice foreground support. Link to comment

jimcrotty 0 Posted May 26, 2002 Very, very cool. The bush to the right does not distract my eye in the least bit. In fact it may enhance the feeling of "place." Very well done. Link to comment
marco_vargas 0 Posted May 27, 2002 i bet it is not very often that you get the chance to see a lion & a rainbow in the same scene, which i think is the value of this image. i do not like the lion pose, it too passive for the jungle king. Link to comment
brad d 0 Posted May 28, 2002 Nice grab! Are you sure that is a lioness? That looks more like an immature male to me. Link to comment
marc_pelissier 0 Posted May 28, 2002 You do are right Brad, It's a lion. I didn't pay attention when i write the legend thinking to another picture I have. Thanks for correcting Marc Pelissier - Paris - Francehttp://wild.images.free.fr/images/titlemin_01.jpghttp://wild.images.free.fr/images/titlemin_02.jpg Link to comment
