The first impulse is to connect the apparent misery of the subject in the foreground to the rather sinsiter look of the figure in the background; our sympathies are with him as victim. But then it could be he deserves whatever discomfort he's going through. Maybe our initial judgement shows our inherent prejudice. Then, it could be he finally got what's coming to him. The real story is almost not as important as the wonderful stress and engaging human qualities you've created. Isn't this, after all, what art is all about? to evoke some sort of emotion? Inciteful.
