mark_helenese 0 Posted May 15, 2007 Wow it's hard to believe it is real, she seems so calm and content in the image, despite her state, anorexia is terrible and people really have different realities. Link to comment

deniselanterman 0 Posted May 30, 2007 Andrzej, I was so saddened to see the extent of this girl's disease. The pose saddened me also, I felt that it somehow romanticized death. I guess it's a reminder of the invisible pain we feel and can hide from others- most of the time. This photo is amazing because her haunted face looks removed from her body. Makes me think that I see haunted faces alot, but not often on wasted bodies. I'm glad she's doing better. Regards. Denise Link to comment
sky blue 0 Posted August 12, 2007 Poor thing. The condition is maddening, yet the photo addresses the issue kindly. The expression is suitable. Glad to read she got better. Sad to read, if correct, that the end came. Tragic. You made a worthwhile photograph but difficult to see. Possibly an example to others before it is too late. Your photo treated her kind. wkl_paul 0 Posted February 24, 2009 its all in her mind.to us,she's near skeleton but she still think she's fat.one day or one moment, when theres a wind of change,a change in her mind-simple as that.when she comes to think she's thin & she'd start to eat again, gradually she put back her weight. we know & we knew -the mind is so so power and commanding. trisha jean-angela 5 Posted February 4, 2010 Please do not take my critique in the wrong way because I feel this is an excellent photograph; the subject however is very painful to look at and think about. I can understand posting a photo like this for documentary purposes, but this seems exploitative. Obviously, this girl is not well in either mind or body and so I doubt she sees this image as something that can possibly help anyone. To me this is the same as taking a photo of someone who is putting a gun to one's head and pulling the trigger. It is sad, it is ugly, it is powerful... and if that is what you want others to see, then fine...if it is too help her, then posting this image of her is not the way to go about it. I wish this image was manipulated! My heart breaks because she is killing herself slowly at the entertainment of others. Very sad. Link to comment
