bm1 0 Posted May 9, 2007 Wonderful shot. I wish the snail was a little more in focus. Link to comment

hugo tuffen 0 Posted May 12, 2007 A great idea to use the colours and snail shell geometry with a very shallowdepth of field. Is this a 100 % genuine DOF or have you post-processed? The excessive sharpness of the in-focus flowers and the extreme blur of the right side of the snail look slightly unreal for a genuine shot! Nonetheless, a very effective image... Link to comment
luke.free 0 Posted May 12, 2007 hugo thanks for your comment, dof is real, postprocess is only sharpening and curves Link to comment
hugo tuffen 0 Posted May 14, 2007 Thanks, that's great to know. Sorry if I sounded mean to suggest it was "false" blur! So you'd recommend this lens? Looks like it can take some great close-ups. Cheers Hugo Link to comment
luke.free 0 Posted May 14, 2007 Hugo: i am very satisfied with this lens, it has only one bigger disadvantage, slow autofocus, but all my closeups were photographed with manual focus. there is comparison with Canon 100/2,8 http://photo.net/equipment/canon/can-tam-macro/ Link to comment
